Charlotte is not your typical wedding photographer. Specialising in destination weddings and elopements, she has a knack for capturing quirky, fun, and daring moments. Her style blends "Modern Nostalgia" with a hint of editorial flair, making each photograph a memory captured and a work of art. Driven by her passion for authenticity, Charlotte envisions a world where love is celebrated in its most genuine form. Her work is infused with kindness, joy, curiosity, and a belief that beauty radiates from within.
Charlotte approached Studio Zo with a clear objective: to create a brand identity that would resonate with a cool, brave audience, attracting clients who appreciate a less traditional and more playful approach to wedding and elopement photography. She wanted her brand to evoke a sense of fun and authenticity, setting her apart from other photographers' more serious and conventional identities in Scotland.

We began with an intensive two-week brand strategy phase, conducted in person, to deeply understand Charlotte's vision, values, and target audience. Using our brand strategy workbook, we guided Charlotte through exercises to define her brand's core attributes, positioning, and unique value proposition. This collaborative process allowed us to distil the essence of Charlotte's brand, ensuring that every aspect of the identity would be rooted in her authentic vision.
With the brand strategy in place, we moved on to the creative phase, starting with a moodboard. The moodboard served as a visual guide, setting the tone for the brand identity. We curated images, colour palettes, typography, and textures that captured the essence of "Modern Nostalgia" with a playful twist. This step was crucial in aligning the visual direction with Charlotte's style and the emotions she wanted to evoke in her audience.
The next step was to develop a logo suite that embodied Charlotte's unique style. The final logo design is a perfect reflection of Charlotte's personality—bold, stylish, and memorable.
Once the logo was finalised, we expanded the brand identity to include a cohesive set of visual elements—colour schemes, typography, and graphic elements—that would be used across all touchpoints. To ensure consistency, we compiled everything into a comprehensive brand style guide. This guide serves as a blueprint for Charlotte's brand, detailing how to use the logo, colours, fonts, and other design elements to maintain a strong and consistent visual identity.
The result is a brand identity that perfectly encapsulates Charlotte's vision and resonates with her target audience. The new branding is bold yet approachable, modern yet nostalgic, and, most importantly, it feels authentic to who Charlotte is as a photographer and as a person. The playful yet premium aesthetic we created has set Charlotte apart in a competitive market, attracting clients who value originality, creativity, and genuine expression of love.
“Best designer in the business. I can’t thank Zoe enough. I feel like she went into my head, picked out everything and brought it to life! I didn’t even realise I needed those colours in my life until I saw them. It’s so different from what any other photographer has, and I am so excited for everyone to see my new branding!”
