A Logo Redesign for Cramond Renovations Construction Company
Logo Re-Design for Cramond Renovations
Tom, the founder of Cramond Renovations, reached out to me wanting to replace his old mark with a more fresh, modern and professionally designed logo. Under the leadership of Tom Brady, Cramond Renovations has been involved in high-end house renovations and home improvements for 22 years. Tom personally manages every project. Together with a team of other equally gifted craftsmen, they supply an exceptional renovation, alteration and installation service to customers including home owners, architects, interior designers, kitchen suppliers and bathroom stores.
After a thorough discussion, I was able to determine Tom’s requirements, business needs and future prospects, which allowed me to create a solid brief. Key words for the new logo were Modern Fresh Warm Strong
Client has expressed personal ties to Ireland and the sea and wanted to see multiple options of green and blue colour combinations, as those were his favourite and they suit the construction industry well.
By listening to my client’s needs, doing extensive research and putting my skills to good use, I am able to produce something that my clients love but most importantly, something that reflects their business in the best possible way.
The result of this project is a Combination Logo that is fresh, modern, yet still ‘homely’. New logo has multiple meanings. It features one of the oldest Irish symbols - the triskele. Its’ smart positioning within the house makes triskele resemble waves and the sea. Modified letter ‘R’ ties the wordmark to the symbol.
Blue and green colour combination is common, especially in construction and similar industries. I therefore wanted to choose more unusual shades for Cramond Renovations logo to help the business stand out. Both Pine Green and Deep Blue are deep, rich shades which are associated with prosperity and quality. These colour choices resonate with Cramond Renovation’s current clients as well as attract the desired new clientele.
Before & After.
Here you can see the symbol of the previous logo for Cramond Renovations. A generic, stock-logo that does not carry any deeper meaning will struggle to appeal to high-end clients. I have designed a logo that communicates a deeper meaning, still shows a house just like my client have asked for, and features customised typography. It stands out in a welcoming way and communicates to potential customers that Cramond Renovations will take great care and pay attention to detail and client wishes on a renovation project.
